Getting Support for Solegy Applications

Postby admin » Mon Jan 26, 2009 8:24 pm

Greetings!

This forum has been established to provide user support for Solegy's FREE applications. It is our hope that members of the FREE community will be able to find answers to commonly asked questions here. If you are a paid Solegy subscriber, remember that you can always open a ticket from the Solegy support portal.

While we will make every effort to reply to forum queries, please be aware that support here is provided by Solegy support engineers on a best-efforts basis only. So please be patient, as it may take a couple days to receive an answer. Please also keep in mind that the quality of our answers will depend on the time and thought that you put into your questions. The more information that you provide, the easier it will be for us to give you a relevant response. If you have any doubts here are some tips:

* Search before posting - Use the "Search" box to see if someone has already asked and answered your question.

* Use the Forum, not email - This way others can contribute to and benefit from the answers.

* Write good titles - Put a short problem description in the title.

* Provide details - Be sure to give relevant information including:
o Problem Description - include as many details as possible (it's better to provide too much information rather than too little).
o How to replicate - be sure to let us know how we can replicate the problem.
o Operating Environment - when applicable, let us know what equipment/software you are using to access the Solegy platform.
o Application logs - the easiest way to diagnose a problem is by looking at the logs. So please include these whenever possible.
o Error messages - if you encounter an error message, be sure to specify what it is.

* Watch for Feedback - Subscribe to email updates for your question and/or check your question frequently for responses. Answer promptly any requests for additional information.

* Say "Thanks" - When you get an answer to your problem acknowledge the solution. If your problem is solved then mark it as solved. This will help others with similar issues find the solution. Remember that our technical support staff is comprised of real people who appreciate good manners - just as you would.
